Since the launch of the previous edition of The Military Balance last year, the IISS has substantially boosted its capacity to collect, collate and analyse military data, and to organise research projects on important developments in defence policy and armed forces globally, through establishing its new Defence and Military Analysis Programme, known as DMAP. This programme already constitutes a substantial and key element of the Institute’s overall research activity.

The Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos-Klosters is perhaps best known to the world at large simply as "Davos". It is much more than a simple get-together of global leaders from many fields in a Swiss ski resort, however.

The Annual Meeting provides a rethinking of our systems and exploration of strategies and solutions that have positive transformational implications. For more than four decades, the Annual Meeting has provided leaders from industry, government, academia, civil society and the media with an unrivalled platform to shape the global agenda and catalyse solutions at the start of each year.

At the end of the first decade of the 21st century, it is clear that global security challenges increasingly embrace such widespread issues as Climate Change, Human Rights and Development. This has prompted major stakeholders to look beyond conventional means of ensuring input – and has led to the European Commission and NATO joining together to back a worldwide online brainstorm called the Security Jam, held online between February 4th and 9th 2010.

Le Point International  è lieta di partecipare alla conferenza che si terrà nella sede del Polo di Roma Indo-Italiano. In questa circostanza verranno illustrate le principali prospettive di collaborazione con l’India per le piccole e medie imprese romane, nell’ambito delle attività tecniche e tecnologiche, nonché per i siti archeologici. La manifestazione gode del patrocinio del Ministero dello Sviluppo Economico e dell’Indo Italian Institute for Trade and Technology (IIItt), presieduto da Maurizio Miranda, già referente della Indian Knowledge City e corrispondente del World Trade Center di Mumbai. A coordinare i lavori della Conferenza sarà il Direttore del Polo romano, Fausto Arrighi, mentre come ospite d’onore verrà invitato l’Ambasciatore dell’India in Italia,  Arif Shahid Khan.
